Hughes Communications India has launched India's first high-throughput satellite for commercial broadband in the country.

Hughes will provide a high-speed broadband internet connection through India's ISRO GSAT-11 and GSAT-29 satellites.

With this vision of providing high-speed broadband service powered by ISRO, HCI will help in India's digital transformation.

It will help to reach the internet connectivity to remote locations and will help in a boost of the country's digital transformation said S Somanath, ISRO Chairman, in a Hughes press statement.

It'll help to provide a high-speed internet connection to remote locations and will help to reach small businesses across the country.

In a press-confress Partho Banerjee, president and managing director, of HCI, said it'll help to reach the internet connections to small businesses, industry working remote locations, individuals, and locations where the cellular network is not accessible.

HCI is committed to providing high-speed internet connectivity at an affordable cost and excellent quality service.

Elon Musk's SpaceX offers the same service as Starlink. The company wants to expand its business in India but it's unclear whether HCI will provide the same speed as SpaceX offering 90 Mbps.
